Started by Kathy and Eric Berg, Now and Tomorrow focuses on programs that will have an impact on people's lives now but will also continue to improve lives in the future. All programs are evaluated by what difference they can make immediately and how they will continue to make a difference in years to come... We began by wanting to bring reading and art instruction to the children in the refugee settlements that were not in school. These efforts helped us identify opportunities to not only provide short term enjoyment for the children but also help them take the first steps on their educational journey with the... We focus on working with organizations that have been created and are run by refugees. Often called Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) these groups tend to be the closest to the communities they serve and are often most able to make significant impact with very minimal resources.
