Swachh Bharat Mission - Grameen, SBM(G) was launched on 2nd October 2014 by the Hon'ble Prime Minister,to ensure cleanliness in India and make it Open Defecation Free (ODF). Having achieved the milestone of an ODF India in a time bound manner, the work on sanitation and the behaviour change campaign is being continued in Phase-II of SBM-G which aims to focus on ODF sustainability and SLWM in villages i.e. ODF Plus rural India (ODF Plus Villages)... Systematic capacity strengthening of key stakeholders at the State, district and block levels will be the key to effective program planning, implementation and success of SBM Phase II. The capacity strengthening initiatives for various stakeholders have to may include orientation, refresher training, TOTs and technical training on components of ODF plus including convergence & utilization of FFC funds.
