Pollution caused by electronic waste is growing rapidly in India. There are many e-waste recyclers in India, but specifically for printer cartridges there are none. It contributes around 12% of the total e-waste generated. Recyclers try to avoid recycling printer cartridges because they are unable to create value from it, as the amount of valuable metals in the printer cartridges are very less.
