PLAN is a non-profit organization and its Board of Directors is made up largely of people knowledgeable about mental illness through long experience or professional concern. Board members and other volunteers serve without pay to develop PLAN's policies and programs and manage its finances. Case management is carried out by a paid staff of master's degree level licensed clinical case managers under the guidance of a licensed Executive Director... PLAN was the first organization of its kind and has become a model for similar programs throughout the country. PLAN is a charter member of the National PLAN Alliance, a nation-wide coalition of state PLANS... PLAN can provide clinical case management, budgeting and escrow account management services to help clients negotiate the public benefits system and to help them manage day-to-day affairs.
