As Chief Investment Officer, Fernando is globally responsible for the definition and communication of the firm's investment policy, as well as its translation into investment solutions. With over 20 years of management experience in International Wealth Management, Fernando has a deep understanding of investment products and services; including portfolio management, trading, investment advisory, along with product structuring and selection.
Before joining Boreal Capital Management, he was a Senior Manager at Monitor Deloitte in Switzerland, where he provided strategy consulting services for the financial industry. Previously, he was Head of Investment Products & Investment Advisory at ABN AMRO Private Banking (Switzerland) after holding the Head Investment Office position. Fernando has also worked at Clariden Bank (Credit Suisse Group) and BBVA Private Bank.
Fernando has a PhD in International Affairs and Political Economy from the University of St Gallen and is a CFA charter holder. He also holds an Executive MBA from IMD, a Master's in Financial Markets from the BBVA School of Finance, a Master's in Physics from the Complutense University of Madrid, and a Bachelor's in Mathematics from U.N.E.D.

Fernando Pérez-Hickman is a member of the boards of directors of Boreal Capital Management LLC and Boreal Capital Securities LLC, serving as an independent director.
With over 20 years of experience in managing financial institutions and investments in the United States, Pérez-Hickman is a senior partner at the real estate fund management firm Azora, where he is responsible for its expansion in the Americas.
Previously, he led Banco Sabadell's business expansion in the Americas, growing its business volume from $1 billion to $20 billion. He created value by combining seven acquisitions of commercial and private banks, organic growth, and the sale of Sabadell United Bank to Iberiabank, which generated a $500 million capital gain for Sabadell. Following this transaction, Fernando Pérez-Hickman joined Iberiabank as Vice-Chairman and Director of Corporate Strategy.
Throughout his career, the Boreal board member has held other positions, including Managing Director of Santander's Private Banking division in Miami. Earlier in his career, he worked at McKinsey & Company in Madrid, Lisbon, and Cleveland.

Francesc Xavier Maymó is a member of the boards of directors of Boreal Capital Management in Miami and Zurich. He is also a member of the boards of directors of MoraBanc and MoraBanc Asset Management, in which he is chairman. He is actively involved in decision-making, investment monitoring and project analysis. He is also CEO (Chief Executive Officer) of Grup Morsa, the single family office of the Mora-Sagués family.
He obtained a grant from "La Caixa" and a PhD in Microbiology from Cornell University. He has published numerous technical articles (e.g. in the journal Science) and popular science articles, maintaining a fruitful scientific career. His professional orientation towards the financial and banking sector began with McKinsey & Co. and includes having been CEO of Corporate Investments Crèdit Iniciatives, part of the Crèdit Andorrà group, and CEO of the financial company Fimarge.
Irina Reznik - Chief Compliance Officer

As a Compliance Officer at Boreal Capital Management Zurich Irina Reznik is responsible for making sure that the company is conducting its business in full compliance with all national and international laws and regulations.
With her previous experience at the Regulatory and Compliance Division at PwC, she makes sure that the company complies with the industry regulations and internal policies. Irina is further responsible for the adaptation of the company and staff to the recent regulatory changes and is guiding the management and staff on compliance matters.
Irina holds a law degree from the University of Munich, is admitted to the Bar in Germany and holds an LL.M. degree from the University of Zurich.

As Chief Executive Officer at Boreal Capital Management Zurich, Jaime Moreno leads the development of the company's strategies, and manage overall operations.
With an extensive experience in management and international private banking, he delivers a high level of customer relations and service while ensuring compliance with the company policies and procedures.
Showing a solid track record on the Risk, Project Management, Operational Tax and Middle Office functions, he held different management positions in other financial entities such as BBVA, Merrill Lynch Bank of America or Julius Baer prior to joining Boreal Capital Management.
Jaime has a Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Finance granted by the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and also holds the General Certificate of ICMA.

Joaquin Frances has held various senior management positions, often involving new business setups in Spain, the United Kingdom and the United States. He started in the International Division of the Sabadell Group, moving to London to help open the bank's first branch outside Spain. A few years later, Joaquin was transferred to New York and Miami with a mandate to start the banking presence of the Sabadell group in this continent, while serving as a director in the board of the Miami-based PRS International Group, a boutique of hedge funds that comprised an investment adviser and a broker-dealer. As General Manager of Banco Sabadell in Miami, he led the expansion of the Sabadell group in Latin America, setting up representative offices in various countries and representing the bank in the board of two minority-owned financial institutions and several offshore investment funds.
He also owned and operated an independent registered investment adviser in Miami and an investment real estate group, becoming later on the CEO of three financial affiliates of the Andbank Group in the United States, including a registered investment advisor and a broker-dealer. Lastly, he served as the group's CRO in Latin America.
Joaquin Frances is a graduate in Business Administration from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, a Master in Business Administration by the University of Miami and holder of the Series 7, 24, 4, 99 and 65.

Lluís Alsina Álvarez is CEO (Chief Executive Officer) of MoraBanc, member of the boards of directors of the Boreal Capital Management subsidiaries in Miami and Zurich and member and chairman of the board of directors of Mora Wealth Management España AV, SAU.
Mr Alsina joined MoraBanc in 2014 as director of strategy to lead the institution's digital transformation and strategic transformation and growth plan. In 2018, he was appointed CEO to lead the second strategic plan, which in 2020 delivered the fourth consecutive year of profit growth.
Before joining MoraBanc, Lluís Alsina began his career in the field of consulting at Arthur Andersen Business Consulting. He has experience in the communication and marketing sector as CEO of In-Store Media.
Mr Alsina holds a degree in Superior Industrial Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, a master's degree in Economics and Business Management from IESE, a CEFA certificate and the Advanced Management Programme (AMP) from Harvard Business School.

Mr. Marc Mora is chairman of the board of directors of Boreal Capital Management, AG and Boreal Capital Holdings USA, LLC and a member of the boards of directors of the subsidiaries Boreal Capital Management LLC and Boreal Capital Securities in Miami. He is a representative of MoraBanc's consulting firm, Mora Fills, S.A., and he is also a member of the board of directors of the ORBITA family office, responsible for managing the assets of the Mora Magriñà and Mora Planas shareholders families.
His career has been developed in Switzerland in the field of private banking and asset management at renowned institutions such as Union Bancaire Privée or Heritage Bank. In 2012, he joined the MoraBanc Group's private international banking department to boost the bank's international business. Mr Mora holds a degree in Business Administration from the European University, he is a Certified European Financial Analyst (CEFA) and has completed the General Management Programme (PDG) at IESE Business School.
Oscar Aritot is a director of Boreal Capital Management in Miami and Zurich. He has also been a director of the group's parent company, Mora Banc Grup, S.A. since 2013. In the past, he was also chairman of Mora Banc, SAU.
Trained in auditing, accounting and management control, he has a financial profile with proven experience in the world of investment, in which he holds the qualification of financial advisor.
Throughout his career, he has worked, among other companies, in the MoraBanc group, where he has been portfolio manager and authorised representative of the financial division. At the same time, he has been a member of other boards of directors of service companies and asset-holding companies. One of these is the family office Armor, in which he is also a member of the audit and investment committee.

Peter Botero - Chief Compliance Officer

Peter Botero has dedicated two decades of his career to financial regulation and compliance. This tenure has allowed Mr. Botero to step into a wide array of international financial services companies. He joined Boreal Capital Securities, LLC and Boreal Capital Management LLC (Jointly "Boreal") in March of 2023.
Mr. Botero worked for various financial industry organizations throughout his career, including Merrill Lynch, Citibank International Private Bank, State Trust Investments Inc., Credicorp Capital Securities Inc., Miura Investment Advisors, Inc. and Miura Capital LLC, Mariva Global Asset Management and Mariva Capital Markets LLC. He is a FINRA Registered Principal, with the securities licenses Series 7, 4, 53, 63 and 24. Mr. Botero holds a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in History from Florida International University.
