Spectre Jiu Jitsu was founded in Boise, Idaho in 2019 by Jake, Thomas Erickson, and Derek Newton. Derek started training in 2006, and earned his black belt in 2016. Thomas was awarded his black belt in 2018 after ten years of training. Jake was awarded his black belt in 2020... At Spectre, we continue to develop and teach the practice of Jiu Jitsu in classes which consist of instruction in both the gi and no-gi, for sport as well as self-defense. We are privileged to work with many students from all walks of life to help them achieve their goals in fitness, self-defense, and competition.
