Nancy DeLong

Nancy DeLong has over 25 years of teaching experience from beginning to collegiate levels on Trumpet, Trombone, Euphonium and Tuba. My experience ranges from beginning to high school levels on Clarinet and Saxophone. My students have consistently achieved high scores at music festivals and have been accepted to Honor Band, All-State and GYSO Jazz Ensemble. I have a Bachelor of Music Degree in Music Education from the Crane School of Music in Potsdam, NY and a Master of Music Degree in Music Education from Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY. I have performed in many professional symphony orchestras, concert bands, jazz ensembles, brass ensembles and pit orchestras for musicals. While in New York State I served as a New York State School of Music Association All-State Adjudicator for Brass Solos and Ensembles. Furthermore, I have studied Trombone and Euphonium pedagogy with Tyrone Breuninger, Associate Principal Trombone with the Philadelphia Orchestra. I have also taken extensive graduate studies on Clarinet and Saxophone. Currently, I am teaching brass and woodwind lessons for Ken Stanton Music in Alpharetta, and West Cobb, and also have an online option for lessons.
