HEAR NOW AUDIOLOGY & TINNITUS CENTER - Key Persons
I am honored that you have found me and that you have chosen to learn more about hearing wellness and how I may be able to help you.
I am originally from Madison Heights and a lifelong resident of Southeast Michigan. When I began my college career, I changed my mind several times then spent one summer following a terrific local Neurootologist. He introduced me to audiology and I was hooked! I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts degree (Magna Cum Laude) in Communication Disorders and Sciences from Wayne State University in Detroit.
I then received a graduate scholarship and obtained my Master of Science degree in Audiology, also from Wayne State University, in 1994. Since then, I have worked in a variety of settings including ENT, private practices, and hospitals. I have received numerous awards including several ACE (Award for Continuing Education) awards and being listed in The Hearing Review as ‘BEST OF HEARING HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS'. In 2011, I was voted a regional winner in Rayovac's annual Hearing Professional of the Year (HPOY) award and in 2012, I was chosen as the national HPOY! I believe in spending extra time with my patients, getting to know their lifestyle and needs so I can help them on their journey to better hearing.
The rewards I get in helping someone hear better have made my career a privilege and a joy, not a job. I attend numerous local, regional and national trainings to ensure that I am up-to-date on the most current trends in the hearing healthcare field. My primary areas of interest are hearing aid technology, aural rehabilitation and tinnitus management. I currently live in Capac with my husband, Charlie. I have 3 daughters and 2 darling granddaughters, Molly and Lucy. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family, working in my vegetable garden, reading, and target shooting.
