The Dowden Design Group is a family owned landscape design business with foundations in Dowden Landscape Company formed in 1941 by Hubert Dowden. Hubert's earliest projects included properly tending Victory Gardens planted by patriotic families during World War 2. His son, James, joined the company in 1952 and used his Korean War discharge check to purchase the first company tractor. James directed the firm's evolution to landscape architecture in 1969 and his son, Craig, made Dowden Design Group a third-generation company when he began working with his father in 1990. Today, Craig takes great pride in the Dowden family business that has grown deep roots within the landscape industry for 78 years...
