Food for the Hungry is a Christian humanitarian aid and global development organization that designs, develops and delivers solutions for more than 50 years so that children, families and communities can flourish. In 1971, Dr. Larry Ward founded Food for the Hungry (FH) based on a simple premise: if children died one at a time, he could help them one at a time. Our organization's name, Food for the Hungry, was inspired by Psalm 146:7, which reads: "He upholds the cause of the oppressed and gives food to the hungry. The Lord sets prisoners free."...
