Adam, the newest member of the team achieved his A-Levels in Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Physics and 11 GCSE's at The Purbeck School. However, he has a strong interest in estimating and project management and has chosen to further his career in the construction industry. Also, he has experience with AutoCAD software and is looking to develop his skills in the programme.
Alex joined us in 2016 having completed his A-Levels at Poole Grammar School. Starting off primarily estimating projects Alex has since developed new systems within the company as well as his own skills and is now managing projects with values up to £500k.
Alex works in the commercial department as an estimator and contracts manager for a number of our various sectors including residential, office and retail fit outs. Alex enjoys his weekly visits to London where he meets with our fixers and clients on a regular basis ensuring projects are being completed on time and to the highest of standards.
His proudest projects to date are working within the hotel sector on the Four Seasons Hotel, Hampshire as well as the various bars for the Harbour Hotel Group which we have installed in Cornwall, Devon, London and Southampton.

Andy has worked in the stone, tiling and terrazzo industry for over 30 years.
His early training includes working for Industria Marmi E Graniti (IMEG) a leading stone manufacturer in Carrara Italy where he was involved with the production of marble and granite for Istana Nural Iman (Sultan of Brunei's Palace) and other prestigious sizable projects in Singapore, Hong Kong and Tokyo.
He returned to the UK to work within the family stone business, Sicilian Marble and Granite Ltd where he worked for many clients including the Edwardian hotel group where SMG supplied and installed marble for some 1500 en-suite bathrooms in and around London.
In 1996 he was appointed as the regional branch manager for Moderna tiles (South) a start up business that was owned by the Nicholls and Clarke group. He grew the turnover to £600k within 2 years establishing a new client base included Berkeley Homes and Barratt Homes.
In 1998 Andy was appointed as a contract manager for Marriott & Price, responsible for both wall and floor stone installation at the prestigious Canary Wharf London shopping mall Jubilee Place, Heron Quays DLR station and Citi Bank HQ to name a few.
He co-founded South Coast Stone in 2005 as a worldwide importer and installer of stone products. SCS have seen their customer base and turnover grow year on year through their ability to deliver and install stone projects on time and within budget. In addition to commercial work, SCS continues to expand their retail operation with the supply and installation of the widest range of granite worktops and bathroom applications.
Andy has worked in the stone industry for over 25 years. After completing his apprenticeship at a leading stone manufacturer in Italy, he was the contract manager responsible for both wall and floor stone installation at the prestigious Canary Wharf London shopping malls and railway stations.
With over 40 years' experience in the stone industry, David started life as an architectural draughtsman, worked in a Purbeck stone quarry before being a contracts and projects manager on some of London and Ireland's major construction projects.
Having successfully worked on site for the likes of Bovis lend lease, Balfour Beatty, Canary Wharf Contractors Ltd and Willmott Dixon, David's career has taken him from the underground's Jubilee line to the heights of Citi Bank's offices in Canada Square.
James arrived at South Coast Stone following graduation from High School in Dorset town Wimborne, at aged 19. His first position in the company was as an estimator, progressing into also assuming Project Management responsibilities on projects across Southern England.
Between the end of James' time at school and beginning of his working career, he pursued his athletic endeavours playing semi-professional football on the South-East Coast, an ambition that he has since relaxed but continued part time while prioritising life in the construction industry.
Within the company, James' focus lies in the commercial department, meaning his work often demands visits to Central London whether for a pre-contract meeting or visit to a live site. His everyday responsibilities include handling architectural drawings, the coordination of installation teams, procurement of materials and ancillaries and the constant communication with Main Building Contractors.

Joe joined the team at South Coast Stone in summer 2019 following an extensive travelling adventure through South-East Asia and across Australia. During his time in Australia, Joe gained firsthand experience on the front line in construction projects and led a few teams on removal projects. He has now settled back in to the UK climate and has taken the position of "Project Manager/ Estimator".
Joe is relishing the prospect of combining the training offered with practical on-the-job experience to become a top Project Manager in the stone industry.
