He built Meco upon a foundation of morals, ethics and values which he passed along to his sons, Andrew III and Peter. With Andy's blueprints, his sons were able to continue building Meco into the success it is today. Andy joined Meco Constructors in 1978. He began his career as a laborer, and through hard work and perseverance achieved the position of Project Foreman. After learning the excavation business from the ground up, he was elevated to the Chief Estimator's role where he remained until Duke's passing. Andy was called upon to assume Duke's position as President of Meco Constructors, Inc. in 2003. As President, Andy ensures the continued financial growth of the company by monitoring various financial information such as contract revenues, job estimates, overhead and cash position. He develops and implements Meco's marketing and sales strategies, and is responsible for the overall operation of Meco by ensuring that its employees meet or exceed established guidelines for standard performance. Like his father before him, Andy provides the ongoing support and expertise to all company personnel in establishing goals, objectives, policies and procedures.

Peter Ebert

Job Titles:
  • Chief Officer of Operations
  • Secretary / Treasurer & VP of Field Operation
Pete joined the company in 1980 as a part-time laborer and remained in that capacity until he graduated from Lycoming College in 1986 with a degree in Business Administration. His fulltime Meco career followed the same trajectory as his older brother: first, as a laborer and then achieving the position of project foreman. However, Pete‘s construction industry passion remained in Field Operations. He worked as a Project Superintendent until his elevation to Secretary/Treasurer and Field Operations V. Today, Pete oversees the field operations on a daily basis, ensuring that all projects are running according to plans and specifications. He oversees the maintenance and proper operation of all equipment, tools and company vehicles in conjunction with his responsibilities as the field advocate for compliance with the Meco Safety Program. Pete verifies job costs versus estimated costs, and documents problem areas for notification to the President while also keeping all project managers abreast of any potential change orders. Pete's hands-on approach regarding project management is invaluable to Meco's construction operations.
