C & S Lumber Co. began in March 1952 as the dream of Millbury resident Joseph Cataldo, a young World War II veteran, and his friend and business partner Henry Senecal. With only a car and thirty-five dollars between them, Joe and Henry purchased their first lift of lumber and went to work to make their dream a reality... For its first few months, C & S Lumber was located on the corner of Millbury Avenue and Linda Avenue in a small rented lot. The office was a one-room shack that Joe and Henry built themselves, and phone calls were handled by Joe's wife Rose in their second-floor apartment on Main Street... A brief history of our company
