SAKERTOURS

Sakertours has been created in 1994 by Prof. János Oláh and young ornithologists from the Hortobágy region to show the birds of Hungary to individual birders as well as being a ground agency for birdwatching tour operators around the world! After a few years we have expanded our operation to Romania - especially to Transylvania - and to Slovakia as well. In 2007 when János Oláh Jr took over the management of the company from his father, the Hide Photography section was launched in the Hortobágy National Park in Hungary. At dawn of the digital photography we were pioneers in Europe and in the World in creating a hide system for bird photography! In 2009 we started to build up our Danube Delta operation for bird photography where we were also the first company to set up professional bird photography tours. In 2011 when the Hortobágy and Danube Delta Bird Photography was already in full force we started to build our first Brown Bear Hides in Transylvania and later creating some bird hides..
