The St. John's Rod and Gun Club is one of the top multi-discipline gun clubs in Atlantic Canada. Located near Holyrood Newfoundland on the Trans-Canada Highway east of the Salmonier Line (Route 90), we offer facilities for a wide variety of recreational and competitive shooting disciplines. For shotgun sports, the Club features four ATA spec. trap fields each with automatic clay target throwers and automated voice release systems. Our Sporting Clays range features a beautiful trail through the forest with multiple shooting stations and a wide variety of manual and electric clay target throwers. Our 16 stall outdoor rifle range provides an excellent opportunity to shoot air rifles, handguns, and long guns (up to and including the 338 Lapua magnum class firearms) from 50 to 200 yards. Our Range A outdoor pistol range features 12 shooting stalls with target stands set at 20-25m. Our flexible firing line Range C pistol range enables us to hold IPSC, IDPA, and Cowboy Action competitions.....
