Jose joined the Rostova Westerman team in May 2019 and worked as an Associate Attorney for our firm until May 2021. He now runs his own law firm, De Wit Immigration Law, and shares space in our Fort Lauderdale office. He brings his exceptional education, work ethic and seven years of experience in immigration to our law group. He regularly teams up with attorney Sasha Westerman-Keuning on asylum and removal matters. Jose graduated magna cum laude from Florida International University (FIU) with a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication and Journalism which has provided him with outstanding legal writing skills. After working as a journalist and editor at a local newspaper, Jose was admitted to the University of California at Berkeley, a Top 10 Law School, where he completed his juris doctorate (J.D.) degree in 2013.

Sasha Westerman-Keuning

Founding Partner Sasha Westerman-Keuning is knowledgeable in all types of immigration case matters from work visas to family-based applications to deportation proceedings.
