BAYCRAFT STUDIO

We are a small team of professionals, with focus on a high quality of workmanship, creativity and innovation. Our workshop is based in the Dorset countryside, close to the popular harbours of Weymouth and Portland. We love nature and the water, and aim for our boats to enhance that experience for others... We use the leftover wood from our boat building business to make homewares, gifts and decorations so that nothing is wasted. Our work uses straightforward, simple and traditional methods and materials and often boatbuilding skills and techniques. We make everything ourselves and the wood we use is almost always British or European hardwood, such as Oak and Sweet Chestnut... We are a small, Dorset based boat building company who hand-build classic motor boats. Our boats are both beautiful and practical, designed to combine vintage elegance with modern comfort and a high build quality.
