My name is Jon Leicy, and I was born in 1994 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Ever since I was a child, I have loved music. I sang loud and obnoxiously as a child (it probably wasn't very pretty) and I also drummed along with songs using my hands or other objects quite often. In fourth grade I started playing trumpet in both concert band and my school's jazz band. I played trumpet for five years, and then one day at my church, I snuck into the sanctuary, sat down at the drum set, and started figuring out different rhythms all by myself. Although music was already a passion of mine, I believe that was the moment God sparked a fire in my heart to pursue it as a profession rather than a hobby. I left the trumpet behind, and without any lessons I have greatly developed my drumming skills over the past twelve years. I have been influenced primarily by drummers such as Neil Peart, Buddy Rich, Lars Ulrich as well as many different classic rock bands and other genres. I've played in school jazz..
