Large concentrations of roosting birds on the property are one of the reasons our hunting is so consistent versus other waterfowl hunting areas. Massive amounts of migrating waterfowl concentrate in our area providing some of the best waterfowl hunting in the Midwest as we sit on the confluence of both the Mississippi and Central Flyways. Our duck and goose hunting over decoys in open water is simply fantastic. With over 12 hunting pits available to our hunters on the property allowing us to go where the ducks want to be in any wind direction or conditions. The hunting area is in the lowest part of the river bottom with depths between 12 and 18 inches in the flooded areas. Millet, corn, buckwheat and sorghum are planted liberally and natural foods such as smart weed, sago, and wild celery proliferate our farm ensuring adequate food for an abundant roosting bird population.
