A community-driven project from the beginning, the Museum of Jewish Montreal's unique story is one tied to its city and people. The Museum of Jewish Montreal was founded in 2010 as a digital project, when our founder Zev Moses realized that no single institution existed to exhibit, map, and share Montreal's storied Jewish history for the public!... As of 2016, the Museum opened its first physical storefront on the historic Boulevard St-Laurent - the only Jewish Museum of its kind in Canada. Located in the historical heart of Jewish Montreal, the Plateau-Mont-Royal, the Museum of Jewish Montreal is a hub of experimental and landscape-changing programming. We create new Jewish arts and culture experiences through exhibitions, events, food, music, and tours. By using Montreal's unique Jewish culture and heritage as a starting point, we offer a different way to connect to cultural life, history, and the arts...
