KLAUSTUR RESTAURANT

We arrived in Klauster on the south coast for a nite and found ourselves staying at the Hotel Icelandair due to lack of rooms in guest houses near by. We were SO pleased with the relaxing and inviting atmosphere, especially the bar (where happy is served daily) and dining room. Service was great, and the ambience was very bright, white, clean, and romantic. You cannot beat the fresh fish served, and I have to mention the homemade bread that was served as well! SOOO GOOD! As an IPA fan, we found ourselves trying different local beers, and Ulfur was one of our favorites! Hang out in the lounge after your meal, it is very large, open space, and very inviting!... This modern hotel is peacefully located in the southern Icelandic village of Kirkjubaejarklaustur, a 1-hour drive from Skaftafell National Park and the Vatnajokull glacier.
