Chintu Patel - Chairman

Chintu Patel, R.Ph., is the CEO of Kashiv BioSciences and Co-Founder, Co-Chairman of Amneal Pharmaceuticals LLC. With a vision of building a company to provide affordable medicine, a company based on quality and integrity, he co-founded Amneal Pharmaceuticals in 2002. Mr. Patel and his brother Chirag Patel transformed the company from a true start-up to over 6,000 employees, ranked as the 5th largest generic pharmaceutical company in the U.S. after being listed on the NYSE in 2018. He has also co-founded and or invested in several independent biopharmaceutical companies - Asana Biosciences, Kashiv BioSciences and Prolong Pharmaceuticals, each of which specializes in innovative science and drug delivery technologies. Before founding Amneal, Chintu was a pharmacist and senior-level manager with Eckerd Pharmacy from 1994 to 2002, where he won numerous awards. Chintu, along with his brother Chirag, were honored with the Ernst & Young National Entrepreneur of the Year Life Sciences Award® in 2011 for their business achievements. He has been a strong advocate for both business and non-profit endeavors. Chintu has been a featured speaker at the Hauppauge Industrial Association in New York and serves on the Boards of the Long Island Association, Long Island University, and the Make-a-Wish Foundation. Chintu and his wife, Falguni, run the Irada International Foundation, which focuses on health, education, and community outreach projects in India and the United States. Chintu holds a bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from Rutgers College of Pharmacy.

Most recently Co-Chief Executive Officer, Co-Chairman and Co-Founder of Amneal Pharmaceuticals, Chirag is now a Co-Chairman of Amneal's Board of Directors. Chirag's lifelong drive and constant desire to discover "what's next" helped grow Amneal from humble beginnings to a significant global presence. He has also co-founded and/or invested in several independent biopharmaceutical companies - Asana Biosciences, Kashiv Biosciences and Prolong Pharmaceuticals, each of which specializes in innovative science and drug delivery technologies. Earlier in his career, Chirag co-founded technology companies NextGen Technologies and Veriprise Wireless. Chirag's industry honors include the 2011 Ernst & Young National Entrepreneur of the Year Life Sciences Award®. He supports various philanthropic causes; and, together with his wife, Priti Patel, established the Niswarth International Foundation in 2013, which aims to bring fresh water, sanitation, nutrition and education to underprivileged children. Chirag serves on the Boards of the Liberty Science Center of New Jersey, New Jersey City University, Art of Living Foundation, Family Reach Foundation, and WIN Foundation. Chirag received bachelor's degrees in Commerce from H.A. College of Commerce, India, and in Business Administration from New Jersey City University. He also received an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from New Jersey City University in recognition of his efforts to serve others.
