Norwin A. Merens

Norwin brings more than 30 years of professional experience in the areas of integrated marketing communications, public relations and strategic business development. He has worked extensively in planning, evaluating and upgrading B2B relationship-marketing programs for manufacturing clients, engineering consulting and professional services firms, trade associations and technical societies throughout North America. Before establishing the first of two marketing communications agencies, NM Marketing Communications in 1999, and Lillian Group Marketing, LLC, Glenview, Illinois in 2018, Norwin served as Group Vice President, Sales & Marketing for Skokie, IL-based Bodycote Materials Testing, Inc./Taussig Associates, Inc., from 1995 to 1999. Previously, he spent nearly 15 years in marketing, communications, publishing and trade show management and operations capacities for the North American Die Casting Association (NADCA) and the American Foundry Society (AFS). During his tenure with the Society of Die Casting Engineers/NADCA, Norwin was also managing editor of Die Casting Engineer magazine, the organization's bimonthly publication. A journalism graduate of Drake University, Des Moines, Iowa, Norwin was chairman of NADCA's Chicago Chapter from 1996-98 and served on the Chapter's executive board in numerous capacities from 1992-2017. He has functioned as president of the AFS Chicago Chapter since 2016 and is presently chair of AFS' marketing committee.
