The IMC Foundation's main activity is scientific research for the study and reevaluation of marine and coastal ecosystems. In particular, our research focuses on the marine environment, aquatic species and their relationship to the environment. The other main area of research is aquaculture and fishery resources, mainly for the species Paracentrotus lividus, Mugil cephalus and Crasssostrea gigas. Research on this subject concerns the identification of optimal diet and living conditions for the rearing of larvae and embryos. Our research experiments are aimed at transferring technical know-how to help the local socio-economic development.
