Keystone Engineered Services was born in 2000 after a gestation period of over 40 years. The principle, Philip Johnson, an electrical engineering graduate from Vanderbilt University, saw at that time an opportunity to create a company that would utilize his many skills and experiences accumulated during the previous four decades. This included his boyhood days as a science and math nerd, college, a stint as engineering officer aboard a US Navy ship, 14 years in both sales and management in the electrical supply business, and 14 years as co-owner, president and general manager of Tri-Tech Services, a 127 employee manufacturer of material handling equipment and special purpose machinery...
