The African Institute for Health and Development (AIHD) was established in Nairobi, Kenya by a group of African researchers, academicians, and programme implementers. It was registered by the National Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO) Coordination Board as an NGO in June of 2004. The Institute's focus is on implementing evidence-based programmes and conducting research, training, programming and advocacy on health and development issues that are contextually relevant to Kenya and other African countries. It is in partnership with the National and County Governments in Kenya and works collaboratively with local, national, regional, and international partners...
