BEMIDJI FAMILY DENTISTRY - Key Persons
Dr. Metcalf is a North Dakota native. She grew up on a small farm located 15 miles E of New Rockford, ND. She joined the military her senior year of high school. She attended North Dakota State College of Science and earned her degree in Dental Assisting (2004) and Dental Hygiene (2006). After practicing as a Dental Hygienist for eight years, she went back to school for dentistry. She graduated from the University of Minnesota-Minneapolis with her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. She has four beautiful children, Madison (19), Tate (17), Talen (10), and Vaida (8). She moved to Bemidji with her children this summer (2018) making Bemidji their forever home, and they are excited to lay their roots down and for their children to flourish. She purchased Division Dental Studio the summer of 2018, turning it into Bemidji Family Dentistry. Dr. Metcalf, when not doing dentistry, can be found at the hockey rink with her kids, Tate (Bemidji High School Goalie) and Vaida (termite), or on the soccer field with her son Talen. Dr. Metcalf is still in the military, she has served in the Army National Guard for 23 years. She is a Dental Officer with the Minnesota Army National Guard out of Cottage Grove and Camp Ripley, Little Falls.
Dr. Metcalf loves her patients and providing them with beautiful and healthy smiles. She also holds oral health education to a very high standard, she believes that the best dentistry is no dentistry. She works to give her patients the education and tools for them to improve their oral care at home. She believes that by educating one person on oral health practices, along with how it relates to our overall well-being, we can create generational changes from that point on. She holds herself and her staff to the highest degree of patient care in every aspect, and strive to continue provide her patients with the best care possible in an environment that is neutral, caring, and relaxing! Everyone is beautiful and everyone deserves to smile!
Kati has been a Hygienist since 2005. She loves helping our patients have healthy beautiful smiles. Kati and her husband have two wonderful children and is volunteers with many of their activities. She enjoys crafts, making unique gifts, spending time with friends and family and being in the great outdoors.
Kellie is born and raised in Bemidji, she grew up on a lake and her family owns a resort. Her grandma suggested Dental Assisting as a career and since 2006 she's been working as one and loves it! She has 2 kids and her favorite thing to do is have lake days and playing with her dog Coco.

Wendy is our wonderful Front Desk Coordinator. She is very knowledgeable in insurance and helps our patients understand their benefits. She worked as a Dental assistant in the endodontic field for 32 years. Wendy and her husband love to spend time with their children and grandchildren. She also likes to spend time outside on the farm with her horses, cooking for family and friends and gardening. It is always a treat when she brings in homemade goods for us to sample.
