FOUR CHIMNEYS

After Mr. Jennings passing in 1949, the property was purchased by restaurateur Jimmy Rallis and the Four Chimneys Restaurant was opened in 1953. The restaurant became very well known, serving guests including Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton, and Walt Disney. In the late 1970's, seeing the need for a place where the guests of the restaurant could stay the night, approval was given for the first guest rooms to be added to the house. It started with 3 guest rooms on the second floor, and over time was expanded to 11 rooms to what is now the Four Chimneys Inn (bed and breakfast)... The badges above are something we wear very proudly. Being named Best BandB in Vermont by Yankee magazine and being called one of the "best inns in Vermont" by Fodor's are honors we don't take lightly.
