TEST SCIENCE

The Test Science Team is part of the Institute for Defense Analyses (IDA)'s Operational Evaluation Division (OED), which promotes independent, unbiased, and defensible test design and analysis techniques. These techniques support informed decisions about weapons system effectiveness, suitability, and survivability. IDA develops statistical methodologies that evaluate military systems in realistic operational environments, ensuring that American warfighters understand the capabilities of the systems fielded to them... Our research products and training courses benefit military analysts, government action officers, IDA researchers, and others who desire to enhance their statistical and behavioral science knowledge... Together, we work to improve techniques, methods, tools, and best practices for the Defense and Aerospace communities.
