Prof. Dr. Bekir Atik was born in Kayseri in 1968. He completed his primary, secondary and high school education in İncesu, Kayseri. After graduating from the Faculty of Medicine, Uludag University in 1993, he worked as a general practitioner in Erzincan.
He started working on Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 1997 and completed his residency training at the University of Gaziantep in 2002.
In the same year, he began his academic career as a founding member at the Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Department in School of Medicine, Van Yüzüncü Yıl University.
He received the title of Associate Professor in 2007. In 2011, he started to work as a founding member at the Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Department, Istanbul Medeniyet University.
He received the title of Professor in 2013. Currently, he is still working private in Istanbul.
He is a member of The Turkish Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Association, Turkish Reconstructive Micro Surgery Association, the Association of Maxillofacial Surgeons, Wound Care and Tissue Repair Society and the Union and the Turkish Medical Association.
He published about 60 international and 20 national articles along with numerous papers both in Turkey and foreign countries.
