DEPTC

Deck Personnel training centre (DPTC) started its journey in the year 1970 near the locality named "Char House" situated on the west bank of Shitalakhaya River with the name "Deck Personnel Training Centre". In the year 1976, Authority shifted the institute to its new building, built on its own acquired 4 (Four) acres of land on the East bank of Sitalakhaya near the locality named "Sonakanda". Later on 26/07/2003 along with Deck Crew, the institute started training program for Engine Crew as well and therefore the name of the institute was changed to "Deck & Engine Personnel Training Centre" (DEPTC).
