I've spent the better part of 40 years with a camera in my hand. Sometime around the young age of 8 or 10 my grandfather taught me the basics of how to operate a camera. Ever since then I've looked at things a bit different than everyone else. Over the past decade I've taken that different approach a step farther as I've fallen in love with the classic look of black and white photographs. So much so that I've learned to see my surroundings in nothing but shades of gray. It's these shades of gray, I believe, that creates emotion in what would otherwise be just another mundane photograph... I like photos that tell a story.
