Anthony Hollander is Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research & Impact and Professor of Stem Cell Biology. He provides strategic leadership for the development of research policy and for ensuring the impact of the University's research programmes in Liverpool and around the world. He is also responsible for commercialisation of research, for developing partnerships with companies and other external stakeholders and for the training of postgraduate research students.
Anthony's research career has focussed on the development of stem cell therapies for treating diseases of cartilage. His spin-out company, Azellon Ltd, is developing a stem cell treatment for torn knee cartilage and he was previously part of a team that created the world's first tissue-engineered airway. He is former President of the International Cartilage Repair Society and is Chair of Utrecht University's International Scientific and Societal Advisory Board for Life Sciences.

Fiona is Executive Pro-Vice-Chancellor for the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Liverpool.
Fiona is a Professor of Law, specialising in international and EU law, in particular foreign investment law and gender equality law and policy. She has a particular expertise in gender mainstreaming (that is, the idea that gender concerns should be addressed systematically in all areas and by all actors), and how this is implemented in international institutions, the EU, and in individual states. In the UK this approach is best exemplified by the public sector equality duty, now contained in the Equality Act 2010. She has completed two studies for the European Parliament FEMM Committee, ‘A New Strategy for Gender Equality Post 2015' and ‘The EU Budget for Gender Equality'.
Fiona is Chair of the Boards of the University of Liverpool Press and University of Liverpool in Singapore.
Fiona is a Non-Executive Director for Alder Hey Children's Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
Fiona was also a Trustee of the Liverpool Football Club Foundation, the official charity of Liverpool Football Club from 2012-19.

Gavin joined the University of Liverpool in 2015 as Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Education. In this role he supports the Vice-Chancellor in setting the academic direction of the University, provides strategic leadership and champions the enhancement of learning and teaching throughout the academic and student community. He is responsible for the University's Student Support Services, Academic Quality and Standards, Careers Service, the Centre for Innovation in Education, Registry, student Admissions, Recruitment and Widening Participation, Libraries, Museums and Galleries.
Gavin is an enthusiast for technology-enhanced learning and has led on a number of IT initiatives that support the student experience. He is also keen on promoting social and geographic mobility in the student body, and is a keen advocate of study abroad programmes, having established numerous partnerships with universities around the world.

Kevan Ryan - Chief Legal Officer

Kevan Ryan is the University Secretary and General Counsel.
As University Secretary, Kevan works to ensure the highest standards of governance in liaison with the President of Council, the Vice-Chancellor and the University's Senior Leadership Team.
As Clerk to Council he is accountable to the Council through the President of Council and reports to the Vice-Chancellor. He provides strategic, independent advice and support to Council including on their powers and procedures.
In his role as Director of Legal & Governance, Kevan is responsible for providing strategic legal advice to the University, as well as overseeing the provision of legal services, information governance and the administration of the corporate governance of Council, Senate and their respective committees. In addition, he manages communication to and from the Office for Students, as the principal regulator ensuring compliance with the public interest governance principles, ongoing registration conditions and advising on reportable issues.
Kevan is a Director of the University's construction company ULCCO (SP) Ltd.
Prior to joining the University, Kevan worked as a commercial solicitor with leading national law firms, Eversheds and Addleshaw Goddard and in-house with Royal & Sun Alliance and Pilkington PLC.

Executive Pro-Vice-Chancellor for the Faculty of Health & Life Sciences at the University of Liverpool from 1 January 2018. Prior to joining the University Louise was Professor of Obstetrics and Consultant Obstetrician at Cork University Maternity Hospital.
Louise was the founding Director of the Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) funded Irish Centre for Fetal and Neonatal Translational Research (INFANT www.infantcentre.ie). Louise has a longstanding clinical and research interest in hypertensive disorders of pregnancy. Her research group is supported by more than 30 million of peer-reviewed funding and her work has resulted in >200 peers reviewed original papers, reviews and book chapters. Louise has received numerous awards for her work, most recently the prestigious title of Researcher of the Year by SFI (2015) and 2015 Irish Tatler magazine Woman of the Year Award for STEM.

Nicola was appointed as Chief Financial Officer at the University of Liverpool in October 2017, and is responsible for all finance and procurement activity at the University, along with Strategic Planning and the Strategic Change team. She is also the executive lead for sustainability at the University and Chair of the Sustainability Board. Prior to her role at Liverpool, she held a number of roles at the University of Manchester including Deputy Director of Finance. Over the last five years, her roles have been focussed on delivery of change projects, including the design and implementation of new planning and reporting processes, and a finance restructure. She has been working within the HE sector for the last 15 years and is passionate about this sector. Nicola has a keen interest in staff performance and development and promotes continuous improvement as a way of working.
Before joining the HE sector, Nicola qualified as an ACA chartered accountant and worked in a number of accounting firms including Ernst and Young and Grant Thornton. She has a BSc in Mathematics from Newcastle University and an MSc in Aerodynamics and Fluid Mechanics from The University of Manchester.

Wiebe van der Hoek is Professor in the area of Knowledge Representation and Reasoning. He came to take up a Chair at the Department of Computer Science of Liverpool in 2002, and was Head of Department 2008 - 2012. In 2014 he became Head of the School of Electrical Engineering, Electronics, and Computer Science. His research interest is in Dynamic Epistemic Logic, that is, logics to reason about information change. He also studied those logics in Game Theoretic settings. Since 2012 he is (co-) Editor-in-Chief of Springer-Nature flagship journal in the Philosophy of Science, and since 2002 he co-chairs LOFT, a biannual conference on Logic and the Foundations of Game and Decision Theory.
He sits on the Digital Steering Group at UoL, and chairs the Digital Alder Hey / University of Liverpool Steering group. He sits on the Boards of Sensor City, the Cockcroft Institute, the MIF, the Daresbury Labs Strategy Group, and the IBM/UoL partnership group.
