ALP

Alp was born in Istanbul on 29 September 2000 and both his parents are architects. He completed his pre-school education in Russia where they had to live due to his father's job. On his return back to Turkey, Alp was enrolled with FMV Erenköy Işık Elementary School in 2006. His interest in sports had just started to blossom then and he was a swimmer between 2006 and 2009. In 2009, when he was nine years old, he found "the sports branch to which he belongs" in his own words and started sailing in Istanbul Sailing Club Summer School. He sailed in Optimist class between 2009 and 2013 and in Laser 4.7 Class between 2013 and 2016. Alp has been an active sailor in Laser Standart Olympic class since 2017, after sailing in Laser Radial, and he is attending Istanbul Saint Joseph French High School.
