PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) is a set of security requirements that all businesses who handle credit or debit payments must comply with, regardless of size or number of transactions they process. This is one of the fastest growing compliance program worldwide, affecting merchants, payment providers, banks and even non-payment players like BPO, data centers and hosting providers. The Central Bank of Malaysia (Bank Negara) had recently introduced the Payment Card Reform Framework to move Malaysia from a largely cash-based to payment-card based society.
