I'm Amy David, the director of Calvary's Mornings with Mommy program. I'm truly delighted and blessed to be doing what I LOVE; that is planning early childhood programs that teach kids in creative ways, strengthen families, and share the love of Jesus in my community.
I am a graduate of the University of North Texas with a degree in Child Development and Family Studies. I have three energetic, imaginative children that inspire me to stay young and keep moving. I am a proud resident of Lake Highlands and enjoy tacos of every variety!
Pastor Schone received his elementary school training at St. Paul's Lutheran School in New Ulm, MN and his high school education at Minnesota Valley Lutheran High School.
After high school he went to Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN where he graduated with a Bachelor of Liberal Arts in 2013.
In 2017 he received a Master of Divinity from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary. He spent his vicarage (internship) at Holy Word Lutheran Church in Austin, TX.
During his final year of Seminary training, Pastor Schone served as an instructor for Academia Cristo, an online bible study and training platform.
In 2017, Pastor Schone was assigned from the seminary to serve as the pastor of nurture and youth at Abiding Word Lutheran Church in Houston, TX. In July of 2024 he accepted the call to be the Pastor of Outreach at Calvary Lutheran Church.
In addition to his pastoral duties, Pastor Schone serves as the Youth Discipleship Head and helps coordinate and plan summer youth and teen camps at Camp Shiloh Lutheran Retreat.
Pastor Schone enjoys connecting with people and helping them grow in the understanding of the Scriptures. In his free time, he enjoys being outdoors: hiking, hunting, fishing, gardening or physical activities.
Pastor Schone and his wife Mari live in the Richland Park area of Richardson.
Jan Fritz is the third and fourth grade teacher at Calvary. She came to teach at Calvary in 1981, right out of college. Her favorite part of teaching is being with the children and sharing the saving Word of God with them.
Jan loves history, travel, and children and has taken advantage of her position by traveling with the students to historical sites in both Europe and the US.
Jim Henrickson has been an educator for 31 years, teaching at the elementary, high school, and college levels, as well as serving as principal of Calvary Lutheran School for the past 25 years. He spent 6 years teaching in Los Angeles before beginning his educational career in Texas.
Jim believes that school is an extension of the family and strives to foster strong parent-school relationships for the benefit of each child. He wants parents to have the comfort that comes from knowing their children will be loved, safe, and grounded in the truths of God's Word as they learn each school day.
Jim is an avid student of history, leads historical trips, and enjoys time in the outdoors enjoying the beauty of nature.
Pastor Koelpin received his elementary school training at St. Paul's Lutheran School in New Ulm, MN and his high school education at Minnesota Valley Lutheran High School.
After high school he matriculated to Northwestern College in Watertown, WI where he graduated with a Bachelor of Liberal Arts from Northwestern College in 1989.
In 1993 he received a Master of Divinity from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary. He spent his vicarage (internship) at Christ Lutheran Church in Eagle River, WI and St. John's Lutheran Church in Phelps, WI.
During his final year of Seminary training, Pastor Koelpin also served as a part-time vicar at Calvary Lutheran Church in Thiensville, WI.
In 1993, Pastor Koelpin was assigned from the seminary to serve as the first associate pastor at Calvary Lutheran Church in Dallas, TX. In the year 2000 he took on the role of Lead Pastor, and since 2014 he has been the sole pastor of Calvary.
In addition to his pastoral duties, Pastor Koelpin has served his church body on various committees, including the position of Circuit Pastor for the Dallas/Fort Worth circuit of the Wisconsin Synod.
He has also written articles for the following Wisconsin Synod publications: Wisconsin Lutheran Quarterly, Meditations, Worship the Lord, and Preach the Word.
Pastor Koelpin and his wife Beckie live in the Lake Highlands area of Dallas.
Kari grew up in Carleton, Michigan, and that is where her family still lives. She married her husband, Michael, in September of 2019 and moved to Dallas in October of 2019. They have an adorable mini goldendoodle named Addison whom they love! In her free time, Kari enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing the piano and singing, playing sports (especially basketball), traveling with her husband, being outdoors, and relaxing in the sun.
An interesting fact about Kari is that she has a twin brother! She has also recorded a few CDs of her own music for her family.

Malissa graduated from Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN in 2012 with a degree in Elementary Education. She spent seven years teaching K4 and K5 at Grace Christian Academy in Falls Church, Virginia. Malissa began teaching Kindergarten at Calvary Lutheran School in 2019. She loves being with the little ones during the day - watching them discover, learn and grow in all aspects, especially their love for Jesus. In her free time, Malissa enjoys being outdoors (anywhere near water especially!), watching sports (Go Packers!), and spending time with her husband Hans, family, and friends.

Mrs. Patti Henrickson is a half-time teacher for grades 7-8 at Calvary. She teaches literature, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Art History, Music History and Spelling-Vocabulary.
She and her husband Jim graduated from Martin Luther College in 1986 and opened a new school in Torrance, CA. She taught grades K-2 there before taking the next ten years off to raise their three children, Jim III, Philip, and Kimberly. In 1998 she was called to teach Pre-School at Calvary, and in 2000 she was called to teach half-time in grades 7-9.
Mrs. Henrickson also just started her 32 nd year of piano instruction. In her free time she enjoys cooking and doing arts and crafts, especially sewing/alterations, crocheting, and knitting.
Sarah graduated from Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota in 2009. She first served as a teacher on the San Carlos Apache Indian Reservation in Peridot, Arizona. She taught grades K-2 for one year, and then grades 1-2 for 3 years.
In 2013 Sarah moved to Dallas and taught Pre-Kindergarten at Calvary for one year, before taking a break to raise her three children.
In the fall of 2024, she began teaching at GROW Preschool. She also teaches general music to grades K-4, and piano lessons to interested students in grades 1-8.
Sarah loves to sing, play various instruments, bake, and play board games with her family!
