Angela has over 10 years of experience in public accounting. She specializes in providing strategic tax consulting and tax compliance services to pass-through entities, closely-held private businesses, high net worth individuals and their related entities. She serves clients in a wide variety of industries, including real estate, manufacturing & distribution, professional services firms and technology industry sectors. Angela has experience advising clients on inbound and outbound transactions as well as repatriation strategies.
Angela received her Master of Accountancy from the University of Iowa. She is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of California and a member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Before joining HKG, Angela was with PWC and mid-tier regional and national firms.
Angie has over 23 years of experience in the accounting and finance and has served in leadership roles within public accounting firms and public and private companies. As an audit quality partner Angie provides audit quality and consulting services to her clients. Prior to joining HKG, she served as CFO and VP Controller of a biotech public company and VP Controller of a PE backed company. Prior to these roles, she was an Audit Partner with Ernst & Young in Los Angeles, leading audit teams and other financial engagements for numerous public and private healthcare and biotech companies.
Angie has significant experience in both the financial reporting and operational aspects of healthcare organizations as well as strategic planning, analysis of complex business transactions and tax issues, cash management, financial forecasts, Sarbanes-Oxley implementation and monitoring, and regulatory and compliance filings. She has significant experience working with high growth (VC/PE backed) companies, IPOs, international accounting (IFRS), debt offerings and mergers & acquisitions.
Angie serves as a peer reviewer for CPA firms in California and holds a license to practice in California. She has served on the Board and/or Committees of Self Employment Loan Fund; Southern California Biomedical Association, O&E Workplace Advocates and Union Station Homeless Services. She is a two-time Finalist in LA Business Journal's "Women Making a Difference".

Curtis has been in public accounting since 1988. He has a great deal of corporate finance and accounting experience in building, leading, and advising corporations through complex restructurings, international expansion and capital markets transactions. He has experience taking companies through an IPO process, knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP. Curtis has a strong base of SEC expertise and background in mergers and acquisitions. He has experience leading a company through a capital raising process and has a "Big 4" public accounting foundation experience with the international accounting and consulting firm KPMG as an audit manager of financial services practice, where he spent six years in the Los Angeles business unit.
Curtis has a hands-on approach and ability to balance technical finance issues with wide strategic and operational objectives. He is a highly qualified leader with a track record of documented contributions directly linked with improved financial performance, heightened productivity, and enhanced internal controls. Curtis has a proven track record in developing and leading teams to deliver results.
He is the partner-in-charge of the accounting and audit practices at HKG, LLP. He performs contract audit work and specializes in internal audit services. Prior to joining HKG, Curtis was a co-managing partner/partner-in-charge of the Accounting and Audit Practice Unit with Lucas, Horsfall, Murphy and Pindroh, LLP (LHMP). Curtis serves as a peer reviewer for CPA firms in California, Nevada and Hawaii and holds licenses to practice in California and Hawaii. Curtis is a native of Los Angeles. He serves on the Finance and Audit Committees of the Board of Directors for Five Acres, American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) and is the Board Treasurer at Pasadena Mental Health Center (PMHC).
David began his financial career with a Pasadena-based CPA firm in 1975, becoming a partner in 1979. In 1982 he became Chief Operating Officer for an international engineering consulting firm. David returned to public accounting in 1988 by starting his own firm, which was merged to become Hinton, Kreditor and Gronroos, LLP in 1995.
David's industry experience includes providing services to clients in manufacturing and wholesale distribution, construction and real estate development, professional services, i.e. attorneys, physician groups, architectural firms, etc., and insurance brokerages.
David also has substantial experience working with tax exempt entities. In addition, he is responsible for managing the entity that arranges offerings of taxable and tax exempt bonds for financing real estate. He utilizes his experience to assist clients in improving profitability and operational efficiencies.
David is a past board member of the audit committee for the Arthritis Foundation. He is also a member of the board and treasurer of Foothill Family Services, a nonprofit entity.

With more than 25 years of experience, Tony began his career with Ernst & Young in Los Angeles where he practiced in the areas of manufacturing, distribution, litigation support and corporate reorganizations. He later founded his own accounting practice, which he merged to create HKGLLP. Tony continues to specialize in tax consulting, mergers and acquisitions and estate planning. Additionally, he provides tax consulting and representation to businesses in IRS audit disputes. He frequently speaks at educational seminars and other industry events.
Tony is a member of the California Art Club Corporate 100 and Pasadena Rugby Football Club.
Jeffrey has more than 30 years of experience in the accounting and finance profession, while functioning in leading roles with public accounting firms and publicly traded companies. As an audit partner, he is responsible for a variety of audits and reviews and leads the firm's financial institution and bank consulting division. Prior to joining HKG, he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer of a publicly traded financial institution with more than $1.7 billion in assets, with responsibility for all financial reporting to the Board of Directors and Securities and Exchange Commission filings.
Jeffrey has substantial experience in both the financial reporting and operational aspects of financial institutions as well as strategic planning, analysis of complex business transactions and tax issues, Sarbanes-Oxley implementation and monitoring, cash flow analysis, budget development and implementation, and regulatory compliance filings.

Lori has been with the firm for more than 20 years. She is responsible for the day to day operations, as well as handling accounts receivable, accounts payable and human resource duties. Lori is always available to handle clients' questions and requests.
Su is a tax manager with over 9 years of experience providing tax and financial accounting services to private equity and middle market clients and their owners. She has a strong background in both tax and financial accounting which allows her to understand major aspects of her clients' businesses and transactions and resulting tax implications. Her focus is providing proactive and timely advice to minimize taxes and reduce risk.

Mike recently retired from Ernst & Young LLP after over 30 years of serving clients in many different industries. Mike now works as a partner with HKG, LLP.
In his years at Ernst & Young, Mike served primarily corporate clients, both public and private, in the Real Estate, Health Care, and Private Equity Industries. He is a recognized expert in developing and implementing tax planning strategies for entities with diverse business interests and complex organization charts. In addition to Mike's client responsibilities, he also served in several leadership roles at Ernst & Young, including Pacific Southwest Partner in Charge of Federal Tax Practice, Health Care tax market leader, Real Estate tax market leader, and Pacific Southwest State and Local Tax Practice Leader. Mike continues to serve many of his long time clients while at HKG LLP.
Mike, and his family, have lived in Pasadena for over 25 years, and is very active in the community. Mike serves on the boards of Kidspace Childrens Museum and the Los Angeles Area Council of Boy Scouts. Robert Hersh is an Audit Manager at HKG with over ten years of experience in the accounting and auditing profession, with experience at both national and regional firms, before joining HKG. Robert provides accounting and auditing services to a wide variety of clients, including not-for-profit entities, closely-held corporations, and manufacturing and distribution companies. He also has experience in providing tax services to corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, individuals as well as not-for-profit organizations.
Terry recently retired from Ernst & Young LLP after over 30 years of serving both public and private clients. Terry is a recognized expert in developing and implementing tax planning strategies for entities with diverse business interests and complex organization charts. Terry's prior responsibilities while at Ernst & Young included Los Angeles office tax managing partner, National tax market leader for the engineering and construction market sector, Los Angeles area director of tax recruiting, and Woodland Hills tax managing partner. In his semi-retirement, Terry continues to serve several clients in a board capacity as well as teaching part time in the USC MBT program (this summer he will be teaching the Partnership/S Corporation class).
Terry is very active in his community serving as treasurer and board member for the Union Station Homeless Services agency based in Pasadena as well as a member of the USC Accounting Circle board.

Wendy has more than 20 years of experience in public accounting. In her early career, she provided auditing, tax and accounting services to multi-tiered business groups, real estate partnerships, estates, and trusts. Prior to joining HKG, she had been the partner in charge of the Outsourced Accounting Department of a local CPA firm, serving its biggest clients, for more than 10 years before it was merged into one of the top 10 national CPA firms.
Wendy is the partner in charge of the Outsourced Accounting Department of HKG. Wendy and her team provide accounting and compilation services to primarily private equity funds and high level nonprofit organizations (total assets of more than $1 billion in aggregate), which are audited by Big Four CPA firms.
Understanding that no clients like surprises, Wendy and her team keep them informed throughout the process and make sure they understand the work and the approach being used. Wing joined HKG in December 1997 following years of experience in public accounting and private industry focusing in the real estate industry. He was a senior accountant with Kenneth Leventhal & Company and then controller with a Southern California homebuilder.
Wing is involved in providing auditing and accounting services for the real estate industry including experience with homebuilders, commercial office buildings, apartments and shopping centers. Although he has focused the majority of his time in the real estate industry, he also has industry knowledge in construction, manufacturing, distribution, travel and publishing.
