Allen Sakon

Job Titles:

Allen has been a likened CPA for almost 30 years, having earned a B.S. in Accounting from the University of West Alabama and a Master of Accountancy from the University of Alabama. She began a career at Arthur Andersen, specializing in taxation, but she built her own small business after researching organizational behavior and entrepreneurship at NYU. Two years ago, a life transition stirred a desire in her to serve people through holistic life planning. In January 2021, she earned her Certificate in Financial Planning from Emory University and became a CFP® candidate by passing the comprehensive exam. Outside the office, Allen enjoys laughing with her three daughters, playing with her pups, running, reading watching too many documentaries, and finding beauty in the world.

Amy N. Mullen

Amy Mullen, CFP® is President of Money Quotient. In this role, she frequently presents at national financial industry conferences on the benefits and effectiveness of a values-based approach to financial planning, understanding clients' financial motivations and how to guide them through change, and creating long-lasting client-planner relationships. She also focuses much of her time conducting trainings and providing individualized coaching and consulting to financial planning practitioners. Amy is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and completed an Interdisciplinary Studies Degree with a concentration in "Financial Motivation & Change" at Marylhurst University. Amy is a member of the Financial Therapy Association and Financial Planning Association. She has served on the board of the FPA of Puget Sound chapter and as a Task Force member for the 2015 National FPA Retreat. Outside of the office, Amy enjoys getting out doors, photography, live music, and cooking.

Aries Jimenez

Aries, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®), is passionate about helping others achieve financial success, and helping clients live their most inspired life. A life of true freedom! He has spent his entire career in the financial services industry and enthusiastically joined San Diego Wealth in 2009 to help clients live their lives completely and fearlessly. Aries received his bachelor's degree from University of California, San Diego, and has also completed the Executive Financial Planning Program at San Diego State University. He has experience in real estate, retail banking, tax preparation, and financial planning. Born and raised in San Diego, Aries enjoys traveling and fishing. He is a member of Eastlake Church and helps serve in their financial ministry. During his free time, he and his wife enjoy spending quality time with their three sons and hanging out with family and friends.

Bradley Cunningham

Bradley Cunningham is the Director of Relationship Development and Manager of the First Step Cash Management System. In this role, he acts as the first line of communication with financial professionals and organizations interested in learning more about Money Quotient tools, training, and ongoing learning opportunities. He also takes a leadership role in managing the First Step Cash Management program. Bradley is generalist problem solver who is always excited to learn how people and companies are making an impact in the world. In his free time, he enjoys rock climbing, canyoneering, skiing, and trying new restaurants.

Brenna Baucum

Brenna Baucum, CFP® has spent nearly a decade in the financial services industry as a lead advisor serving mostly pre-retirees and retirees. With MQ, Brenna serves as a lead trainer for our Fundamentals of True Wealth™ Planning course, advanced trainings, and workshops. Elevating the financial planning profession is a passion, as is community involvement in her town of Salem, Oregon. She enjoys running, gardening, and spending time with her daughter Mika and her husband, Ben.

Carol Anderson - Founder, VP

Carol Anderson is the founder and Vice President of Money Quotient. She has an M.S. in Consumer Economics & Family Resource Management and a diverse background in business, education, and financial services. Since 1989, Carol has focused on the issues of financial planning education, retirement preparation, life planning, and productive aging. As a researcher, writer, and consultant, Carol has worked with a broad range of companies and non-profit organizations in designing studies, conducting analyses, and compiling research reports. In addition, Carol has written articles, developed publications, and designed educational tools, materials, and training workshops. She is a member of the Financial Planning Association, Purposeful Planning Institute, and Financial Therapy Association. When not working, Carol enjoys spending time with her family and pets, gardening, and hiking.

Colleen Smith

Colleen Smith is the Director of Partner Services. For this role, she draws on 25 years of experience in the Finance Department for the City of Poulsbo in Washington State. Colleen's MQ responsibilities include issuing and updating MQ Partnership documents, preparing anniversary notices, processing payments, creating and updating Partner web accounts and the Partner Directory, monitoring the Partner Benefits Database, and scheduling appointments for new Partner orientations and Getting-Started Consultations. She also facilitates the customization process and other special requests. In addition to her work with MQ, Colleen spends many hours entertaining friends and perfecting her home and yard.

Devon Klumb

Devon Klumb is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ™ and holds credentials as Behavioral Financial Advisor®. Devon co-founded a Fee-Only RIA in 2016 prior to merging with a larger RIA based in Cincinnati, OH in 2019. Devon now manages Strategic Sales at Betterment For Advisors and serves as an Implementation Consultant and Advisory Board member at Money Quotient. In his free time, Devon enjoys spending time on the golf course, playing guitar, listening to old music, and hanging out with his family-Liz, Jack, Nora, Molly, and Piper.

Jeanna Fifer

Jeanna Fifer is a Financial Planner and Partner with Cordis Financial in Minneapolis, MN. Jeanna started in financial planning after graduating from the University of Minnesota in 2008. Through an internship in college she saw first-hand the impact that holistic financial planning can have on people's lives. Over the years as a financial planner, Jeanna has enjoyed working with clients helping them to better understand their position and supporting them as they make decisions. Jeanna is an active member of the Financial Planning Association of MN; she served as the chapter president in 2016 and received the 2019 Distinguished Service Award. She lives in Minnetonka, loves board games and is always interested in a must-watch recommendation.

Jim Comeau

Jim Comeau is the Director of Learning Opportunities for Money Quotient. In this role, Jim plans and schedules Money Quotient events including webinars, training programs, and special events such as the MQ Retreat. He also makes arrangements with presenters and event venues, facilitates webinar sessions, oversees event marketing, and manages the MQ Event Calendar and the Learning Opportunities Recordings Archive. When not working, Jim enjoys team trivia, karaoke, attending concerts, and watching Mystery Science Theater 3000.

Joshua Franklin

Job Titles:
  • Director of Digital Media & Technologies
Joshua Franklin is the Director of Digital Media & Technologies for Money Quotient. In this role, Josh manages our digital interface including graphic design and desktop publishing projects. He also produces video tutorials, photographs MQ events, and creates images for MQ marketing materials and the MQ website. In addition, Josh assists MQ Partners in customizing and branding their acquired materials, and provides the rest of the MQ Team with technical support and training. In his spare time, Josh enjoys wood working, photography, and classic and contemporary cinema.

Melinda Davis

Melinda Davis believes in living life with no regrets. In 2017 she launched her own Registered Investment Advisory firm, Davis Wealth Advisors to fulfill her own dreams and help other families achieve theirs. She is committed to always acting in client's best interests. Melinda has a Masters in Finance from Boston College, a B.S. in Finance from the University of Florida and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional as well as Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor™. She lives on a farm in southern New Hampshire with her husband.

Paul Leighton

Paul began his career as a financial planner in 1983, when the profession was still in its infancy and struggling to define itself. Today, Paul works with Money Quotient Partners as an Implementation Program Consultant. His personal life reflects the same purpose that guides him professionally. Family, friends and working for the greater good are sources of inspiration and fulfillment. Paul and his wife, Jeanne, have three children and seven grandchildren. They enjoy spending time at their lake place in northern Minnesota with family and friends. He is active in his church and on the board of directors of several non-profit organizations.

Steve Hazel

Steve is a fee-only financial planner based in Tempe, AZ. He works with a wide range of clients in identifying and pursuing their lives' goals. He is a Certified Financial Planner Professional and transitioned to the financial planning profession in 2008 after spending two decades in banking. He also has had a successful consulting company and worked in start-up entrepreneurial ventures. Currently serving as a member of the MQ Advisory Board, Steve has been an MQ Partner for five years.
