With an MBA in Organizational Development, Kathy has spent her career successfully leading and transforming a variety of organizations - streamlining processes, implementing quality standards and measures, and improving client and donor satisfaction and alignment. She is certified in Adult Learning and Development from the University of Toronto OISE, and has completed the Certified Management Consultants - Canada designation (CMC-Canada). She has worked with boards of directors for over 25 years, and has successfully increased and improved performance for the organizations she has led.
Most recently Kathy served Executive Director of the United Way Hastings and Prince Edward, and has held positions as CEO of the Centre for Entrepreneurship Education and Development (CEED) in Halifax, Executive Director of the Dalhousie Medical Alumni Association (DMAA) among other senior leadership roles. Kathy has recently completed Mentorship Fundamentals, a comprehensive Strategic Mentor Training Program among other professional accreditations. She has coached and mentored many professionals, focussing on outcome measures, employee engagement and negotiating for winning outcomes.
Randy began his career with the Canadian Navy in the Combat Systems Engineering Division as a Weapons Engineering Technologist. He attended the Naval Engineering school in Halifax acquiring a CET certification (SCETTNS-TechNova). He received a Special Service Medal (SSM) and Peace Keeping medal for his tour of duty with NATO, Operation Maritime Monitor, in the former Yugoslavia. After his successful Naval career and several deployments, he attended St. Mary's University in Halifax, majoring in Human Resource Management. He also acquired a the certification of Human Resource Professional (CHRP) before completing an MBA with a concentration in Marketing. He has held mid to senior level sales and management positions for publicly traded Fortune 500 companies. In 2001, he also completed the Certified Sales Professional (CSP) certification through the CPSA (Canadian Professional Sales Association). His work has focussed in the distribution and manufacturing sectors.
He has a strong business acumen and his entrepreneurial instincts have given him the insight on how to evaluate, successfully set strategy and fine tune value chains.
