My father was a pilot, aircraft mechanic and airport manager in my hometown of Lewistown Montana. After leaving the Navy, I decided to become a professional pilot. I was afforded an opportunity to achieve my goal when I landed a job in an aircraft repair facility. I left there eight years later with an ATP, CE 500 type, A&P IA and 3500 hours of flight time. I then moved to Aberdeen, SD and continued in my career as Chief Pilot and Check Airman. Later I moved back to my hometown as Director of Operations for a company providing helicopter charter and fire suppression. In 2010 I started Langford Aviation LLC providing pilot services, flight instruction, aircraft maintenance, sales and acquisitions and aviation consulting. I currently provide Chief Pilot and Check Airman services for Aberdeen Flying Service... Providing Designated Pilot Examiner ( DPE ) services, advanced flight instruction and aviation consulting.
