SAN AUGUSTIN WATER COALITION

SAWC was formed when a drilling application was filed in 2007 by the Augustine Plains Ranch (APR) to appropriate 54,000 acre feet of water from the San Augustin Basin that currently supplies water to northern Socorro and Catron Counties. It is proven to provide some southern leakage to the Tularosa River, which connects with and supplies water to the Gila / San Francisco river systems... We focus on making the maximum positive effort for our community. Our members and volunteers provide the momentum that helps us affect change. We are committed to saving our water which will make a long-lasting impact for this generation and generations to come.
