Born and raised in the Netherlands, Anita's passion for mining started at an early age and was guided by her appetite for adventure, exploring new territories, and meeting people from all walks of life. She earned her master's degree in applied earth sciences at the University of Technology in Delft, The Netherlands and after a few trips around the world, moved to Colorado to pursue a master's degree in mining engineering from the Colorado School of Mines. After 20 years of operational and corporate experience working for major gold mining companies, as well as for consulting and contract mining firms, Anita now works for Brooks & Nelson as the Director of Recruiting, where she can leverage her strength and number one passion for building diverse, cross-functional, high-performing teams. In Anita's spare time, she supports Women in Mining (WIM) USA, where she served as president from 2019 to 2022, and WIM Denver. Here, she pours her energy and passion into changing public perception surrounding the mining industry, driving inclusion and diversity, and expanding mining careers for women.
Ashley attended New Mexico State University, majoring in Business Administration and Marketing and minoring in Advertising. She gained her education to benefit her family-owned business. She led the development of their marketing strategy and execution of various protocols that have increased the overall growth and success of the business. Ashley now lends her expertise to Brooks & Nelson, as a Marketing and Research Specialist, to develop our brand in a positive, authentic way to connect and attract current and future clients.

Donna is currently President of International Talent Solutions, LLC and has over 30 years of mining experience, and is known for her ability to build collaborative leadership teams that deliver. Donna is a Proven international leader experienced in HR global services experience includes programs and projects internationally. Throughout her career, she led the activities of global teams responsible for integration and assimilation of multi-country operations, M&A human capital assessment, and leadership development. She is known for her ability to quickly identify process/system shortfalls, plan and execute to deliver value in the human resource space.
Douglas Silver retired at the end of 2020 from his Portfolio Manager role with Orion Resource Partners, the world's largest mining private equity firm with $6 billion in assets under management. Previously, Doug created, built and sold two royalty companies. One of them, International Royalty Corporation (IRC), was sold to Royal Gold. Doug was inducted into the Mining Hall of Fame in 2019 for his leadership and extensive contributions to the industry. Brooks & Nelson is honored and pleased to have Doug on our Advisory Board. His passion in promoting women and young people throughout his career aligns with B&N's values and vision.
Jan de Ville began her recruitment career in 2012 with HS International, specializing in the global mining industry. Jan's expertise focuses primarily on mid-level to executive roles. Prior to her recruiting career, Jan spent over thirteen working for the Denver Gold Group, promoting international precious metals conferences as Director of Business Operations. During her tenure, she worked on meeting planning, specializing in corporate communications, resulting in the organization and formation of worldwide, premier conferences while building her network of C-Suite managers and mining professionals. Her strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to build trusted relationships are tremendous assets to Brooks & Nelson.
Jasper is a dedicated partner, team leader, and investment committee member at Resource Capital Funds. He holds an MSc. in Mining Engineering from Delft University and an MSc. in Mineral Economics from the Colorado School of Mines. With almost two decades of experience at Resource Capital Funds, Jasper has skillfully managed numerous portfolio companies, from exploration to producing assets. His responsibilities include selecting capable management teams and boards to successfully implement a portfolio company's strategy.

Jerry Gauntt is an experienced and recognized mining professional, trained as a mineral economist at Penn State. During his career, Jerry has worked at Rio Tinto (Luzenac), ASARCO, Imerys, and Rocky Mountain Energy, primarily selling a wide variety of metals and industrial minerals. His recent consulting role includes a lengthy service with Marston & Marston, which merged into Golder Associates Inc. In addition to leading mining business development activities, his consulting experience also includes assisting clients with due diligence reviews involving mineral investments.

Jill Nelson is a Mining Engineer who started her career with Shell Mining Company. She moved into the waste industry for BFI, managing closure projects, EH&S, before managing hazardous waste landfills at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal. Later, she returned to BFI as their Landfill Sales Manager. Contributing to her Alma Mater, Jill spent three years fundraising for SDSM&T, focusing on the mining sector. In 2008, Jill moved into recruiting in the mining industry with Downing Teal in Denver. In 2016, Lois Brooks and Jill Nelson started Brooks & Nelson to provide exceptional, client-tailored recruiting. Matching top-end talent with the right opportunities is her passion. Jill is a staunch supporter of the mining industry and serves on boards of trade associations, colleges, and Colorado's Mine Land Reclamation Board.
Joline Lenz brings over two decades of leadership and recruitment expertise to the Brooks & Nelson team. As the former CEO of HS International, a successful Denver-based mining recruitment firm, she and her team placed technical, corporate, and leadership talent, including the C-Suite globally. In 2014, her company was acquired. Most recently, as a Senior Sourcer for Northrop Grumman, a Fortune 500 aerospace and defense company, she acquired new skills working directly on their talent acquisition team. Joline recently co-authored "Inspiration at Work," A Job Seeker's Resource Guide to assist job seekers to find a job that inspires. As a creative, intuitive problem solver, talent sleuth, and team builder, Joline enjoys helping candidates and clients excel.
Dr. Enders has worked in the mining business since graduating from CSM in 1976. Steve ultimately went on to become the President of Phelps Dodge Exploration Corporation, and then Senior Vice President of Worldwide Exploration for Newmont. He has more recently been the Chairman, Director and COO of EMX Royalty Corporation, and he is a co-founder of Cupric Canyon Capital LLC. Dr. Enders has been at Mines since 2009 and now serves as the Director of Subsurface Frontiers and the Department Head for Mining Engineering.
Maurene Martin is an authentic and meticulous accountant. Maurene spent her career before joining Brooks & Nelson in the non-profit religious sector. Maurene now lends her expertise to Brooks & Nelson for financial analysis of timing, completion, and repeat business. Her inquisitive nature and diligence lend her strength in researching our clients and prospective candidates. Her natural intuition serves the company well in a research capacity. Maurene enjoys learning about the natural resources sector and holds a strong passion for helping people succeed.
Michelle is an entrepreneur and business leader who founded Roth Investor Relations in 1987. She is known for her dedication and outstanding leadership. She successfully expanded Roth Investor Relations global consulting business through multiple investments cycles by formulating compressive shareholder engagement solutions for a worldwide client base. She serves as a Director at Maple Gold Mines and also acts as a strategic advisor to Nova Royalty. In the public sector, Michelle has served as Mayor, Deputy Mayor and Planning Board Chairperson of Manalapan Township, New Jersey.
