Adriana Borralho

Adriana studied at the University of Dentistry and Pharmacy from Cluj Napoca, Romania and she qualified as a Dental Assistant. She has worked in Dentistry since 2006. In 2020 she obtained the Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management. Adriana is friendly and kind with our patients and she strives to build relationships with them, finding their trust very important and rewarding. Her aim in our practice is to help patients feel at ease with dentistry, to manage patient appointments and to run our surgery with the highest levels of cleanliness and good hygiene standards.

Anthony Mirvis

Anthony carried out most of his education in Jersey at St Michael's Preparatory School and Victoria College. He then trained and graduated from Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital, King's College, London in 2013. He spent a year working in a busy practice in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, Bayswater region in Central London. Anthony then worked at Bart's and the Royal London Dental Hospital where he gained experience working in the Oral Maxillo-Facial Surgery team. Since his dental life in London, Anthony has returned to the island and has been working in multiple busy dental practices and so may be a familiar face to some of the locals. Most of his interest lies within oral surgery and both diagnosing and treating acute dental pain. Anthony has a passion for working with and helping patients who have dental phobia or anxiety.

Dr Emma Smyth

Emma qualified from the University of Bristol and has worked in the South West of England and in Northern Ireland before moving to Jersey in February 2021, having visited multiple times and falling in love with the island. Since moving over she has enjoyed settling into island life and making friends locally. Emma is now qualified to do Invisalign treatments, which she is very passionate about, because it is a fantastic opportunity of achieving beautiful smiles. Emma enjoys providing a friendly, comfortable atmosphere for her patients. She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and finds helping patients make long term positive improvements particularly rewarding, such as gaining the trust of a nervous patient to allow them to visit the dentist without anxiety or helping patients to achieve stability in their oral health. In her spare time Emma enjoys going for walks in Jersey's many scenic areas and spending time with her friends.

Melissa Da Costa

Melissa joined the practice in April 2019 as a Trainee Dental Nurse and completed her dental nurse qualification at Kings College London in 2021. In March 2023 she completed her qualification as Dental Nurse Lead. Melissa enjoys all aspects of dentistry, she loves caring for our patients and making them feel relaxed in the dental environment. She can also speak Portuguese which is incredibly useful for patients who need some translation. Melissa is working in reception as well as in the surgery and enjoys meeting patients when they first come to the practice. She considers cross infection a very important topic ,she has qualified in February 2022 as Infection and Prevention Control Lead and she is making sure our cross infection control measures are always at the highest standards. In future, she hopes to further her career by studying to gain qualifications in sedation, radiography, and oral hygiene. Outside of work Melissa enjoys spending quality time with friends and family.
