Steve Constantinides is the founder and principal of Magnetics & Materials LLC, a consultancy focused on providing solutions to materials, processing and business challenges within the magnetics, ceramics, metals and related industries. Steve is a materials scientist whose experience includes 12 years with Corning Inc. involved with glass ceramics, passive electronic components, combustion systems design and manufacturing management systems. When Corning sold the Electronic Products Division in which Steve had been working, he joined tungsten carbide manufacturer GTE Valenite and was responsible for the modernization and operation of over 40 vacuum and atmosphere furnaces. In 1988 he joined Crucible Magnetics as Manager of Technology and Quality Assurance for Neo, Samarium Cobalt and Alnico magnets. In addition to factory support, he coordinated magnetic material R&D conducted at the Crucible Research Center (CRC) near Pittsburgh, PA. After joining Arnold Magnetic Technolgies in 1992, and for 25 years thereafter, Steve performed process and product development, manufacturing and applications engineering and project management. For the last 11 years at Arnold his position was Director of Technology. Arnold Magnetic Technologies, formed in 1895, has been a global manufacturer of magnets, magnetic materials and precision magnetic assemblies.
