- Vice President of Facilities & Maintenance
Tony DeShaw is a handy guy. He was a jet engine mechanic with the U.S. Navy, is certified to use nearly every type of construction equipment at Prometheus and enjoys flying remote-controlled helicopters. He's good with his brain, too. As a Prometheus maintenance supervisor in 2005, his work on the renovations at our Orchard Glen Neighborhood helped lay the groundwork for our current renovation program. His responsibilities have grown considerably since then, and today, he oversees the capital and renovation work for all our Neighborhoods.

A local guy born and raised, Daniel Emerson is no stranger to building beautiful things. Dan has 16 years of multi-family project management experience, building top-flight buildings while at Lennar, Greystar, Archstone, and BRE Properties. We're thrilled to have Dan as part of the Prometheus family to build the next phase of our robust pipeline. When he's not orchestrating new creations at work, he's running after his three young boys doing their own demolition work at home. Daniel has a Bachelor of Science in Finance from California State University, Hayward.

At 6'8", Dave Krasowski towers over most of us. With such an elevated perspective, it's fitting that he has helped build some of our most ambitious projects, like the 549-unit Hearth in Santa Clara. Previously, Dave worked at Classic Communities, overseeing construction on condominiums, townhomes and single-family homes. Dave received a bachelor's from the University of California, Santa Cruz. In his spare time, he enjoys getting more down to earth and growing orchids.

Born in Queens and a product of a Long Island 80's adolescence, home for Don is Billy Joel, the Mets, summers on Robert Moses, and local NY pizza and bagels. For college, Don chose to pahk his cah in Hahvad Yahd, enjoying life by the Charles and, to this day, incessantly reminiscing about his 1987 Ivy Football Championship. In 1989, Don left the east coast for the lifestyle and climate of San Francisco, landing just in time for the Loma Prieta earthquake. While unnerved, Don remained in California, where he began his career in real estate development. Don enjoyed stints of 15 and 8 years, respectively, at SNK Realty Group and Mill Creek Residential, where he led urban infill multifamily development and acquisition efforts in the Bay Area. Don arrived home at Prometheus in January 2021. Don's professional affiliations have included Urban Land Institute, National Multi-Housing Council and San Francisco Bay Area Planning and Urban Research Association (SPUR).

Eron Kosmowski is a Wildcat, a Michiganian and the kind of person you want watching your retirement fund. That's why we've had him keep an eye on our funds for the past 13 years. And in that time, he's financed more than $4.5 billion. Not quite chump change. Eron currently handles long and short-term financial strategies, property tax appeals, corporate cash flow, and cash management. Eron earned a degree in Economics from Northwestern University, where he was also a member of the varsity football squad. Go Wildcats!
As CEO, Jackie Safier has a really primo parking space. Jackie has over 28 years of experience in property development and management (which is roughly equivalent to 150 normal years) and has been at Prometheus for 26 years. During her time behind the wheel, Prometheus has racked up more than 75 design and industry awards. Jackie is no stranger to hitting the books. She received her Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Tufts University. She also serves on the Board of Overseers for UCSF and the Board of Visitors for UC Berkeley.
John Millham has led our acquisitions and investment strategy for over 20 years. He's acquired more than $3 billion in real estate in the past decade, helping us grow to a whopping 13,000 apartments and nearly 1 million square feet of commercial office and retail space. John earned his bachelor's at the University of California, Berkeley, is a licensed real estate broker in California, on the board of the National Multifamily Housing Council and a member of the Urban Land Institute. When not hunting for real estate, he likes to fish instead.

A Colorado native, Josh has called California home for 10-years. A personal joy is attending SF Giants games in CO Rockies gear. Sports affiliations aside, Josh loves this NorCal playground and can be found (or more accurately lost) in the Santa Cruz or Sierra mountains any given weekend. Josh built a successful 20-year hospitality career overseeing sales, marketing and brand development in 6-major markets across the U.S. and Europe with Marriott, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, and finally Woodside Hotel Group. He loves seeing luxury hospitality design and service sensibilities delivered through the Prometheus portfolio.

Justin Halada handles asset management, business intelligence and repositioning for our portfolio. That's some pretty brainy stuff. And he has the street cred to back it up. Before joining Prometheus, Justin was a vice president with RedHill Realty Investors. In addition to overseeing its asset management team, he executed value-add business plans up and down the West Coast. Justin's also a bobcat - the Ohio University sort. That's where he earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration with an emphasis on finance and business law.

With over 30 years of experience in the multifamily industry, Kellie currently serves as the SVP of Operations at Prometheus. Day to day, Kellie oversees the seamless operation of 12,000 units across Northern California, Portland, and Washington, and a development pipeline of 2,000 units. Focused on team development and engagement, operational service and efficiencies, and organizational reputation, Kellie also leads the Brand Momentum Team - a group of Prometheans dedicated to advancing innovative ideas. When she's not in the office, you can find Kellie working on a different sort of team engagement, competing in the equestrian sport of Reining on her horse Paisley.

Kevin Wilkinson crunches our numbers, something he has 20 years of financial and accounting experience in. Prior to joining Prometheus, Kevin was the chief financial officer for Knowledge Networks, where he helped the company achieve its first profitable year and oversaw financial planning and analysis, accounts payable, accounts receivable and 11 other functions. (Kevin helped us add them up.) Kevin has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from San Jose State University. He's also a Certified Public Accountant.

Pat Calihan knows his way around dollars and cents. Since joining us in 2006, he's been involved with 45 projects Prometheus has purchased or built, comprising over 10,700 apartments and nearly $5 billion. Pat still manages to unwind, balancing dollars and sense. He's a member of the San Francisco Guardsmen, Olympic Club and Urban Land Institute. While earning his bachelor's from the University of Arizona, he was a member of the men's golf team…although he would be quick to point out that was very far down the bench and saw little playing time.

Paul Boatman is no stranger to risk. He has over 20 years of experience in managing operational and insurable risks, working with top hospitality organizations Vail Resorts and Hilton Hotels. On the weekends, you can find Paul sailing in the San Francisco Bay. In fact, many Prometheus departments accept his invitation to join him on sailing excursions for team bonding events. Paul has a Bachelor in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance and Risk Management from Georgia Southern University. He is a member of the Risk and Insurance Management Society and has his Associate in Risk Management and Charted Property Casualty Underwriter designations.

A west coast convert, Picole made the transition to the best coast from Florida over 10 years ago. She received her degree in Organizational Management from Palm Beach Atlantic University and is first to admit proximity to the beach was a big part of her college selection process. Prior to joining Prometheus, Picole was VP of Human Resources and Risk Management at Woodside Hotel Group with previous work for Rosewood Hotels and Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts. At Prometheus, she leads the charge in our care for our Prometheans - curating talent, supporting development, and fostering well-being initiatives for over 500 Prometheans.

Rick Jacobsen isn't just our chief numbers guy: He manages all our financial and corporate administrative operations, including accounting, finance, risk management, treasury, human resources, legal, IT, tax, procurement, ancillary services and training. (Try saying that 7 times fast). Rick had similar responsibilities at Archstone, where 7 vice presidents and over 160 associates reported to him. Rick earned his bachelor's from the University of Massachusetts and Master of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Houston.

With over 18 years' experience in the multifamily industry, Susie Dow knows a thing or two about good living. A Bay Area native, she received her Bachelor's from Chico State University before beginning her career in the retail industry at Emporium Capwell. Susie then joined The Gap for over 10 years, perfecting the customer experience with meticulous attention to detail, allowing her transition from retail to multifamily to be a seamless one. When she's not strategizing at the office, Susie loves to experiment and cook with new recipes for a different type of customer - her friends and family.

Tessa McFarland is way more approachable than most General Counsels, but don't let that fool you: She has deep experience in real estate law. Prior to Prometheus, Tessa was in-house counsel at Fry's Electronics, handling the company's real estate, development and construction matters. She was also a partner at Folger Levin & Kahn in San Francisco, where she handled commercial litigation. Tessa graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Colorado College and earned her law degree from the University of San Francisco, where she was on the law review.

Originally from New Jersey with pit stops in New Hampshire, Idaho, and Oregon, Tim knows a thing or two about making new places feel like home. He was first introduced to Prometheus while working on a landscape project at one of our Seattle area Neighborhoods and met us again while designing Mission Dolores Park for the Helen Diller Family Foundation. Call it kismet. Since joining our team, Tim has left a design mark in every one of our Neighborhoods. He brings 20 years of multidisciplinary design experience and a love for the Seahawks to our Prometheus family.

When Vik Lu isn't chasing around his two sons or playing in the latest fantasy sports league, he manages our Information Services team. That includes all our network, helpdesk, telecommunications and property management software needs. Vik has 18 years of industry experience and came to us from BRE Properties, where he was director of network operations. He received his bachelor's from the University of California, Davis and a Master of Science in Business Administration in Management Information Systems from San Francisco State University.
