The firm was initiated by Ben Baxt in 1977 after several years as a single practitioner in Brooklyn. Michael Ingui joined the firm in 1994 and became a partner in 2000. An in-house interior design company, BIA Interiors, was established in partnership with the late Heather Tilev to create a seamless interior and architectural design process. We are continuing this integrated architectural and design process as Ingui Architecture as of 2023... A full-service interior design firm, we specialize in creating highly personal, easy-to-live-in spaces. From classic townhome interiors and distinctive apartments to hospitality and retail environments, BIA Interiors guides each client to well-composed, comfortable, and adaptable spaces... BIA Interiors designs personalized, comfortable spaces for homes, hospitality, and retail-classic, distinctive, and easy to live in.
