My name is John Hobbs. At the end of 2019 I ended a 50-year career in the information systems business. In the mid-1980s I was Assistant Director of Information Services for the Canadian Division of an international insurance conglomerate. In 1988 I established my own information management consulting firm (IMSIG Inc.) with a focus on managing information as a corporate resource (not the technology nuts and bolts). My clients were predominantly government organizations.
