Jennifer Mbanu

Jennifer Mbanu, Global Health AspirAction's Director of Special Projects, leads research and other key efforts. She is a dedicated public health professional with expertise in health education and promotion, health policy research, the healthcare delivery system and hepatitis C. She has a proven track record in program management, research and organizational communications in clinical, nonprofit and pharmaceutical company settings. Jennifer began her career in the managed care department of a 2000+ member, multispecialty Physician Hospital Organization in Detroit, Michigan where she became expert in credentialing, servicing and contracting. She was promoted repeatedly to ultimately manage the internal communications strategy. Jennifer then worked as the Health Policy Fellow for Atlanta-based consumer advocacy group Georgia Watch while obtaining her Master of Public Administration degree from Georgia State University. Her research efforts were instrumental in increasing access to quality health care for uninsured, underinsured and low-income Georgians. Jennifer also served as the Southeast Public Health Manager for Vertex Pharmaceuticals where she developed a seven-state strategy to raise awareness about hepatitis c, increase rates of screening and testing, and support linkage to care.

Susan C. Robinson - CEO

Susan Robinson is healthcare leader who creates innovative strategies, operationalizes patient-focused, results-oriented solutions, and strives for collaborative, win-win outcomes. Her experience includes senior and executive management, organizational turn around and disaster response management. She is a strategic thinker and problem solver, a cultivator and mentor, and an effective communicator and relationship builder. Prior to founding Global Health AspirAction, Susan led the HCV public health initiative for Vertex Pharmaceuticals, Inc. where she developed internal and external strategies to maximize results for patients. For the American Liver Foundation, Susan led all education, patient services, research and public policy efforts, integrating new organization-wide strategies that led to unprecedented results at significantly resduced cost. She also directed a national network of pediatric primary care/medical home programs for the Children's Health Fund, which included on-the-ground clinical care coordination following Hurricane Katrina. Susan began her career in New York City government - both at the Mayor's Office and the Department of Health. Susan earned a BS in Health Policy and Administration from The Pennsylvania State University and an MPA with a specialization in Health Policy and Management from the Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service at New York University.
