TOM FOUTZ ADR

A full-time neutral since 1993, Tom Foutz has mediated and arbitrated over 3,000 matters covering a wide range of cases, including personal injury, maritime, product liability, business and commercial disputes, employment matters, and hurricane claims. Mr. Foutz also conducts jury focus groups and mock trials, umpires insurance disputes, serves as a court-appointed special master, and has testified as an expert in the areas of legal malpractice, settlement evaluation, negotiation, and mediation. Mr. Foutz recently served as a Deepwater Horizon administrative appeals judge (appointed by Judge Carl J. Barbier, Eastern District of Louisiana), authoring over 1,000 opinions... Mr. Foutz began his legal career in law school as a clerk for Judge Lansing L. Mitchell, Eastern District of Louisiana. Following graduation, Mr. Foutz specialized in litigation, first at Jones Walker and later with Jack Martzell and Wendell Gauthier.
