The Midwest Morris Ale is an annual event for Morris dancers in the Midwest region of the United States, held every Memorial Day weekend (the last weekend in May). The Ale includes three days of bus tours, show dances, performances, pickup dancing, singing, and playing music. In 2020 and 2021, we hosted several virtual events over Zoom. These events included interactive workshops, lectures, panel discussions, and social events like pickup dancing and singing. Our aim was to provide a platform for community members to participate in and learn about Morris dance, music, and culture.
